How does Syncio sync my product data?
In most cases, new product data from the source is synced on demand. What this means is whenever the source store updates and saves changes to their products. Syncio will begin the process to copy those changes over to the corresponding destination product.
For inventory syncs. The sync starts whenever:
The source store manually updates their inventory data or:
When an order containing a valid synced product is placed on either the source or destination store.
π By default, Syncio only updates inventory between synced products. However with the optional Product Settings add-on. You will have the ability to sync product fields such as tags, images, etc.
Bulk product updates
As product updates syncs are processed on demand--as soon as they are saved. The source store sends syncing requests to Syncio in real time as well.
Syncio can handle bulk product updates. However do note, our ability to process larger bulk requests is limited by the platform you are using. As a rule of thumb Shopify Basic accounts are limited to around 2 updates per second.
To account for platform API limitations. Syncio is able to stagger these updates by spreading them out over a longer period of time. However, there maybe cases or scenarios where the number of updates to process far exceeds what the platform allows which may result in a skipped sync.
Bulk Resync Requests
Our support team (reach out at: [email protected]) can field requests to do a one-time bulk resync to cover product updates that you think have been missed.
However, in most cases this is not essential as Syncio will do a resync automatically whenever the product is updated next.
